Odun Omo Olowu in Diaspora 2026 - A Grand Celebration in London!
The Association of Yoruba Descendants in Finland (AYDF) is proud to announce that our delegation joyfully participated in the Odún Omo Olowu in Diaspora 2026, held today, 9th May 2026, at the Oasis Banqueting Hall in London, United Kingdom.
It was a beautiful and unforgettable gathering of heritage, unity, and identity, where we celebrated our rich Owu and Yoruba traditions together with our beloved Royal Father and Ambassador, His Royal Majesty Oba Saka Adelola Matemilola, Oluyalo Otileta VII, The Olowu of Owu Kingdom.
Our AYDF team was led by:

- Women Coordinator, Mrs. Ebun Kivinen
- Board of Trustees Member, Mr. Durosinmi Ganiu
The atmosphere was filled with cultural displays, traditional rites, music, networking, and pure Yoruba joy. We danced, we laughed, we renewed bonds, and above all, we drew fresh inspiration from Kabiyesi’s fatherly presence and royal blessings.

This magnificent event is a powerful reminder that no matter how far we are from home, the Yoruba spirit remains vibrant and united, just as Kabiyesi’s historic visit to Finland in September 2025 strengthened and inspired our community.
Our AYDF Finland delegation had the honour of greeting our Royal Father & Ambassador, His Royal Majesty Oba Saka Adelola Matemilola, Oluyalo Otileta VII, The Olowu of Owu Kingdom, at the high table during the grand Odún Omo Olowu in Diaspora 2026.
